Swaraj Dweep, or Havelock Island, is one of India’s best intimate places for a simple dinner by candlelight on the beach. You cannot find anything more relaxing and enjoyable than the relaxing, peaceful beaches, accepting waves, and soulful scenery and beauty of nature when you seek out that enjoyable, beauty filled location to bring out the memorable nature of even the simplest dinner, or in our case, dinner in paradise. We were dining with our toes in the soft white sand, steps from the water, as we watched the sunset literally disappear on the horizon or the stars appear and light our night sky.

All around, palm trees swayed in the light breeze and provided the perfect sound of the waves crashing on the shore beside our beach front dinner table. Dinner was beyond "food." Dinner became a completely shared experience in paradise, just as everything else we did, enjoyed, and experienced on Havelock Island. The service at Havelock Island Beach Resort was delightful and the extra care and thoughtfulness made out tableside dinner service a treasured experience that we will remember during our entire trip to the Andamans, regardless of the special occasion to celebrate.
